Also, a six year age difference has far less meaning once you get older - someone who is 100 won't even notice the difference if their partner is 106...
But at 13, six years is almost half of their lifetime!
I think the bigger question here is WHY a 19 year old would WANT to date a 13 year old - I can see how it works going the other way (they want someone who is more mature), but why would you want to date a girl THAT young?

Definitely not!!!! It's statutory rape!!!! If her parents ever found out, they will bring the 19 year old up on charges. A 13 year old girl is still considered a child. Please do not think of this!!!!
It is okay for the 40 year old man to date the 34 year old female because she is not a child. It would be a relationship between two consenting adults. The only thing that would make this wrong is if the 34 year old female was not consenting, then it would also be rape.

no. The difference is in developmental maturity. A 13 year old is still a child in ways that a 19 year old isn't ( unless hes a little retarded) a 34 and 40 year old have both matured as much as they are going to. Thats why it's called an age of consent law. It's they age at which someone is considered mentally developed enough to give legal consent. 13 year olds can't sign contracts either.

And here's the reason. The maturity levels between the 19 year old and the 13 year old are so different. The 13 year old is barely a teenager and needs to experience life a lot more before getting involved in an adult relationship.
Oh. and it's also illegal.

I think it is okay to date a 13 year old but if others find out, you may be in big trouble. You could become a registered sex offender under the statute in any state. That is something you don't want to have when you are 19 looking for a job and a future.

no because a 13yr old is noooo where near being an adult. where a 40yr old and 34yr old are. 19 and 13 is highly inappropriate

No. When you're so young, the age difference is of too much importance. When you grow older, your maturity is much more similar to people six years older/younger.
