go to the dmv or state police for what ever state you are in and get a trip permit, it will be good for 1 or 2 days for that state, when you cross the border go to the nearest dmv or state police office and get a permit for that state.

if you bought it from a dealer they should give you a temp tag that will be good for 10 days? if you bought a person call the DMV in Arkansas & and maybe even texas -
in Florida as long as you have insurance, you have 10 days to switch the registration, without a tag.

most important - if you do get stopped - tell the truth

Only thing I can think of is getting a travel tag, like the ones the dealers use for new cars. Go get the blazer, drive home, and register it in Texas, get your texas plates.

It may be possible to get a temporary 3 day tag (or whatever they have in your state) to drive the vehicle to Texas. Check with both AR and TX MVD's.

Can you go to the DMV and get a temp tag? Like a dealers tag, or the tag you get when you first buy a new car?
You could always have the car shipped on a trailer and then you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Law enforcement and the licensing agency for your state use the number stamped on the tag/tab for identification purposes. If those numbers don't match what's on record, problems occur. It's not your license plate that gets you in trouble, most of the time, it's the number on the tab/tag
