Matt B - Yes, chevy is bringing back the Camaro in '09. I've known this for a while, I'm a Camaro owner and it's my favorite model of car.
As far as the Busch Series, I've heard someone else mentioned this too, but I haven't seen it, read it, or heard it announced myself. I've always wanted to see the Camaro is NASCAR. I'd love it if they do.

I think it would be a great idea for the new Nationwide series. They need something to bolster attendance and interest in the series... Especially if NASCAR curbs the cup drivers from active participation. Right now, if it wasn't for cup drivers proliferating the series, the attendance might only be half as much as it has been the past couple of years. Or worse. As for custom made cars that the manufacturers can enter, (aside from Camaro or Mustang), I still remember the 2 door Taurus cup car... Something that Ford never built or released! :)

There has been some back room talk about this for about 3 years now. It would be done in hopes to level the playing field for the Busch regulars, kinda like the COT for the cup guys. Also it has been speculated that this move was in the works to prevent as much Busch whacking the cup regulars have been doing.

Is it really going to happen, probably not. As NASCAR would be testing cars now and there has been nothing mentioned by NASCAR officially nor have we heard anything other than the rumor mill.

Yes, I heard that rumor. I guess we'll find out if it's true someday. It would be interesting to find out if Nascar really wants to turn every car on the race track today into an unusable piece of junk other than for vintage races or ARCA. That's a whole bunch of money to throw away for an organization that claims it's trying to reduce the cost of racing.

The rumor mill had it that Busch(or what ever the new name will be) is going to run a complete opposite car from cup so less info can be got from weekend companion events.
