I have a DSC-W55 Sony Cybershot....please help!

It depends upon the number of MB per picture. This is dependant upon the picture density and format. There are too many variables for us to answer this.

56 megabytes isnt alot...it could'nt hold more than 100 pictures

Well not alot..internal memory is useless..you probably need to get a memory stick. The price of it can differ from 29.99-499.99+(if it's not on sale)

the counting of this actually goes by megapixels, so look at this site after you see how many pixels it is
