In the town in Ontario, Canada where I live it is $104.9 per litre. As there is 3.5 litres per gallon then we'd be paying $367.15 per gallon. Not trying to sound too old but I recall before we went to the metric system and when I was a kid my granddad paying 46 cents per gallon. Of course back then there was not such a thing as self-serve, you always had your windshield cleaned by the gas station attendant that was in his uniform (unlike today where you have to fill yourself and if you can find a full service centre the attendant is usually dressed like a slob). But the big gas companies have so much power they can pretty well charge whatever they want and get away with it. Much more needs to go into developing alternative fuels and put these leeches out of business.

I think it's always going to be more expensive in California generally, but this doesn't mean other places don't have bad times or prices will never reach as high as they do here. During the hurricane the South had an incredible skyrocket in prices.

This website tells you specific stations so you can search for the cheapest product in your area.

The low in the Minneapolis area is $2.79 at Costco. The high is $3.19 at a Phillips 66.

California has high taxes per gallons of gas. Thats why you pay more in California.

Here in Michigan, we're paying roughly $3.60 per gallon for gas.

Of course, that could also be because we have the absolute worst economy in the whole United States right now thanks to all of the retarded Democrats in power. Gotta love Granholm!
