Could compression cause perminant damage...She is blind in the right eye...

Could be a transitory period, sometimes a FB foreign body or shock can cause this condition.
Compressions normally do not cause this.
Change your dr./hospital.

Compression may cause swelling and I think swelling may prevent a proper examination like Fundoscopy. I hope once swelling goes, things will be clearer (literally). I understand how concerned you must be. As a matter of fact it is rather unusual and it is difficult to find the cause. Bad positioning causing swelling OR even any permanent damage is possible. I think they should be more open to you, it is something serious. I will pray for your daughter, hope it will be a temporary loss. I'm sorry it escaped my attention and I m late in answering. May God bless your kid and give you both courage to deal with this.
