go back and read the HISTORY of that book. ASK the questions.
WHEN was it written?
WHO edited it?
WHAT was their agenda?
It is a well known fact that homosexuals were common in the roman senate, King james himself had male lovers.
Homosexuality is NATURE'S way of population control. It's quite simple to understand. Two of the same sex cannot breed thus reducing the population. EVERY living creature on this planet has homosexuals.
Maybe king james was trying to hide his own proclivities?
as to the pedo priest, how many babies are buried in cathedral walls?
Question EVERYTHING

Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.

The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."

Here is the text of the document, On the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons (1986): http://www.newadvent.org/library/docs_df86ho.htm

With love in Christ.

Yeah? With the pedophile priests out there....what? Finish the sentence....

Your premise is bogus because it assumes all homosexuals have tendancy to become pedophiles. By extension, given the fact that pedophilia is a crime, you are saying all homosexuals are criminals. That's what you're saying? Is that what you really think?

Pedophelia and homosexuality are two different disorders. While it is possible to have both, having one does not mean one is guaranteed to have the other.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church has this to say about homosexuality:

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

To suit its prejuduce of which began in the middle ages. Actualy before that time homosexuals and their relationships were accepted. (Read John Boswell, Christianity, tolerence and homosexuality) Unfortunatly in about the early 12th century the churches attitude began to change for the worst towards them. Often times people will go to great lengths to justify thier dislikes and even pervert sacred scriptures to justify themselves. Personaly speaking I never qoute scripture when debating or discussing ideas as well as religious teachings simply because the bible has been used to justify slavery, racism, sexism, war, as well as a host of other sins. Their teaching about homosexuality appears to be a merely self rightous justification of institutionalized homophobia.

simply because in the Bible, God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Im sure you've heard that joke before but its the truth. god made man and woman. not man and man. And not all priests are petafiles, but i do agree with you, there are alot out there. But the devil tests priests more than he tests anyone on earth. Sometimes priests fall into it. Even though the thought of this is horrible, they dont deserve to be a priest if they will do anything like that.
But in the bible it also says not to judge. So we cannon judge priests about their actions

Because the Bible speaks out against it and it is naturally disordered.

By the way, there are FAR more teachers, counselors, relatives and religious ministers that are pedophiles than priests. Priests just got the limelight.

Well, when homosexuality was unacceptable they had a constant supply of confused young men who wanted to be celibate priests.

Now that it is acceptable to be gay, nobody wants to be a priest any more. Unless they're a paedophile.

this is infrequently a complex gown. classic priests' vestments are merely the conventional known gown of southern Europe many centuries in the past, which the church has fossilised right into a uniform.
