One person is born in a very rich family, in a nice country, very beautyful, intelligent and famous, and another person is born in a very poor family, practicly starving, and a country with wars and despotic government, ugly, fool and worthless?
That means God give punishment and reward? but why, if they din't exist before? what is your explanation?don't say is examples or test.

You have overlooked the most important thing, which is that the rich are more likely to be ungrateful for their many blessings which makes it harder for them to have saving faith in God.

The poor seek a savior and are generally more grateful for any form of blessing, thus they are more likely to have saving faith in God.

Hi there...excellent question. You make a good point, yet it has nothing to do with religion, but instead not everyone enters the world with the same resources. We all have opportunities in life, not the exact same opportunities, but we know that some people start with nothing in life and end up famous, successful, and wealthy. Others come from a silver spoon and have many resources, and they end up in and out of rehab treatment, so how do you explain that?

I do not think God is punishing people or rewarding them. If your mother passes away tomorrow, does that mean you MUST have done something wrong? No. It doesn't mean that you've been punished or she's been punished, so not everything in life is about punishment and reward.

What we can do is be thankful for what we have been given (no matter how grand or small it is), and then have the attitude of trying to improve. And improvement shouldn't be measured just in cash and homes, but instead in how you contribute to society and help influence others positively. The reason I say this is because at your very last breath in life, all those vacations and fancy homes will all fade away and not mean much. The meaning will be in the relationships and interactions and the good that you did in life! Good question though.

I am not Christian (sorry) but I think I can help you out. I'm hoping you wouldn't mind some outside support from a Muslim such as myself :)

Anyways, Christians preach that "everyone carries their own cross". In other words, everyone has a burden in their lives that they have to overcome to prove that they are worthy Christians and worthy of Heaven. Although some people may seem to have the best lives, without a doubt there is something in their lives that could be better, and is their test (sorry I know you said not to suggest that it is a test) whether it be parental issues such as divorce, separation, fights, etc. or having some disorder that no one really knows about but is affecting your whole life. You probably never have, but did you ever read Richard Cory? We read it in English class, and its less than one page long so its not gonna bring back memories of school =P Hopefully you can find it somewhere on the internet if you consider reading it, which won't take long but will teach you a valuable lesson and answer your question. Also by the same author (who I forgot) is Miniver Cheevy. I recommend you read them both, and good luck! See, I didn't mention any religious texts or suggestions or issues, so I will assume that it is ok that I answered your question, even though I am Muslim ;) Thank you, and good luck!

atptour311 has some nice ideas and answers the question well :)

It's not God's doing it's Man's doing.

God doesn't make the world, MAN does.

Americans have Ipods and Palestians have sand.

If they'd just give up their FUITLE struggle and join the WORLD they'd have Ipods too!

It's MAN's choice!

Since AMERICA has OUTSOURCED to INDIA their median income has GROWN

It has ALSO happened in China

And WILL happen in RUSSIA

If Palestine and Iraq continue with their SAND LOVER concepts all they'll have is sand.

You want a piece of the action, JOIN THE FREE WORLD

It's that simple

America the world of Mini Vans, Ipods, Desinger clothes, cable TV, McDonalds, TV Dinners, Microwave ovens, IPODS.

Iran and Syria and Iraq and Palestine the land of AK-47s, sand, drab clothing, closed minded universities, low tech, no tech, poverty

I DO applaud Saudi Arabia for giving a royalty from oil to everyone.

That's the something the US needs to adopt!

Every person is a peice of the jigsaw that makes up the final image. Each life has a purpose to get from point A to point B, what ever it takes to do so. That is why each person's life starts with different circumstances, in order to fill a need that person has.
Everybody must learn to express themselves honestly, which is very hard to do. One must first remove the clouds in order to see the sunshine. There are many roads to Rome, and many ways to skin a cat. Just as there are many peices of a jigsaw.

Perhaps to create a complete jigsaw peice one requires many lives, or perhaps just one, followed by purgatory (purification). Which model is the case does not matter. The purpose of life is the same for either case. Clear them clouds of ignorance so you can see yourself. God places each soul in a time and place where the correct tools for that person reside to facilitate that soul to extract its ignorance. Each sheep can find its way back to the shepherd.

The problem of the worlds inequality, some nations being very poor and its people hurt by starvation and other social ills may not be attributed to God.

When humans rebelled against God's law through disobedience and chose their own rule for God's, they became independent of God and outside his protection. Much like an adult son moving out of his parents home because of an angry irreparable difference - may not be permitted back in to live there again, and thus has to live on his own with the problems that entails.

This then has nothing to do with God's punishment and reward, but rather, it has to do with our independence to God and our exercise of free will that we exercised to our own detriment.

is being in a rich family and having fame really all that great, do you really think that kind of stuff will make you really happy or just provide a false sense of happiness
we can all be born here the same way, all of us each have something to do with our lives
I've found that the beautiful are often ignorant and naive and never had to do much for themselves, so they usually can't help people out all that much
but if you had to fight and work for everything in your life you come out a stronger person
strengths and weaknesses are given to us and developed in us in different ways

We all existed before we came to earth, we all chose who, where and under what circumstances they would be born in. If they go through life, and learn how to do with what they have, and not grow bitter because of their lives. God will bless them with rewards that are being reserved for them when they leave this life.

From one man He has made every nation of men to live all over the earth

and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live,

so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.

Jesus said it is harder for a rich man to get into heaven than a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. As a wealthy Christian, I believe God expects us to do more with our lives than most other people. If we don't... then let's let God judge us.
