Why is Savate such a fantastic martial art ?

Savate : Boxe, La Canne de Combat, Savate Defence, Savate Forme are all brilliant disciplines individually - added together they make such a beautiful and efficient system, why would anyone want to do another different art ?

Savate practitioner eh? : P Well, it is a pretty good style to use on board a rolling and tossing ship at sea, since it was developed by sailors from the southern part of France who learned the martial arts in the orient during their trips to the far east. And from what I hear, it's also effective to use with boots on in the streets or in a bar room brawl. But still, it does have a weakness, if an opponent can get past it's boxing range techniques, it's pretty vulnerable against grappling techniques.
