Yes, of course. There are these ships called aircraft carriers and once you leave the end of them, you are over water. There are dry land naval air stations for training and repair.

Yes, the Navy flies planes over water. There are some planes that are land based like the P-3 Orion (soon to be replaced by the P-8) and C-2A Greyhound. Then there are the planes that are carrier based like the F-18 Hornet, S-3 Viking (soon to be phased out), E-2C Hawkeye, EA-6B Prowler (soon to be replaced with the Growler), and the SH-60 Seahawk (the Navy version of the Blackhawk helicopter).

Yes, if you are a Navy Pilot. In the US we have aircraft carriers. They load jet planes onto ships then fly off or land on the decks. The ships have to be at sea to do that.

If you enroll as a pilot you fly planes and definetly over the water. Only less then 0.1% of Navy servicemen fly planes. Most Navy members work on ships to fight other ships. The Navy flies only F-18's and S-3's. Not F-15's.

They fly just as much as the Airforce does really. They fly Fighters over the water, and of course over the land to get to their mission.
