I've never had a one night stand but I haven't had sex since my ex & I broke up. I don't want any attachments & I don't want the guy to call me the next day. Is it common to feel this way? Should I allow myself to just do it?

FYI: I'd use protection.

Here's my # 555-1212 Call me up and I'll do you anytime you like...and I don't want to call or talk to you the next day either.

PS...don't listen to Patty G. Casual sex is the bomb. It'll make your skin glow and your hair silkier.

It is obvious only you can answer this question because of its intense intimate nature. While using protection shows good sense, do you think the idea of one night stands is an ideal substitute for sex within a commited relationship? The need and desire for sexual intimacy is a natural human want and I do not fault you on that. However I would advise you to find a good boyfriend to share this very personal aspect of your life.Even if the break-up with your ex was a bitter experience, believe me when I tell you that there are tons of loving, caring ,romantic, and sweet men out there. Would you please let me know how things turned out for you.I wish you all the best.

If you think you can do it, go ahead, but just be careful. Everyone has needs. Even though I have never had one, I personally do not think there is any shame in a one nighter. If you have a guy friend that is in the same boat as you, maybe you could hook it up that way. If you want to absolutely never see the guy again, go away by yourself for the weekend or with a girlfriend and have yourself some vacation sex. You definitely will never see them again if it is in a different city. Good luck and be safe.

After my ex and I split up this is exactly how I felt. The only difference is I wanted a toy to play with more than just one night. You need to do what is going to help you heal, and everyone heals in different ways. If you're using protection and you're not screwing 8 guys a night and not standing on some street corner for kicks, I'd say go for it. But that's just me. (BTW, I did go for it, but it got complicated before sex ever got involved...LOL, and now we've been together for 3 years and married for 2.....funny how life works out)

Every girl i've met has had those thoughts, needs, wants at one time or another in her life. Most (most) of them feel dirty the day after.

Think about what it really means to you, to have sex. If you. Don't worry about what others will think. But definitely think about how you will feel about yourself the morning post coitus.

I'd go ahead and do it. It's not that big of a deal. I've had a couple but they were mainly one night stands because the sex wasn't great and I didn't want to go back for more.

I find that it messes with your mind emotionally to have no structure ....not know the person, and be physcial with them....same thing with sex on the first date....makes you wonder what the heck you were thinking about ..or how could I have done something like that without thinking.

Save yourself for someone. One night stands only leave you more lonely than before. It's about needs alright, and this is the last thing that you need...

If its something that you feel comfortable with or needing, why not? Just my opinion. After all its not 1950's anymore. Its well into 2K. Have fun and good luck.
