You need at least a one pound canister of propane gas. If it's a large gas grill, you may need a 20 pound propane tank. It's available at hardware stores, and sometimes grocery stores. All the valves and fittings should have come with the grill.

Good luck.

Natural or propane gas, (lava rocks should be the kit), wood shavings, a match if the igniter is broken and a friend with lots of practice and beer. You don't need to start the grill 1/2 hour before cooking.

If this is Weber there should be a great book with the grill. You won't need any liquid to start the fire.

Try not to blow up the grill, make sure the gas tank has no leaks and is firmly attached. Good luck!

Target has great covers.....but don't put them on the grill while it is still hot....it will turn brown and melt (not my idea)

If it is indoor in a stove, you need to rub the surface with a folded paper towel with cooking oil on it to clean and oil the surface - then turn it on.
If it is an outdoor gas grill, you need lava rocks if you don't have them - these spread the heat and catch the drippings for smokey flavoring. You need to do the same thing for the grill surface.
No liquid.

LP gas. You'll need an empty tank - well, actually you need a full tank, but assuming you need an empty tank, you buy one, then you take it to get filled - from $11 to $19, depending on where you are - when you bring it in for the first time you need to tell them it's new so they can purge the tank - might cost you an extra dollar or two.

Other than that, you need nothing. Enjoy!
