The www.cdc.gov website lists only a phone number with pre-recorded messages. When you follow the links on their website regarding reporting emergencies, they take you to the state health department, which immediately links to the state department of environmental protection. If the state authoritites won't do anything, are you out of luck even though you may be exposed to diseases like hepatitis, cholera, gastrointestinal problems, immune system problems, etc?

Call the EPA regional office or have your Doctor contact the health department. On the CDC site is an e-mail address and street address. Write them if you need to do that. If you have a concern, I would see my doctor for help.

You are trying to use a aircraft carrier (the CDC) to deal with a problem best handled by a gunboat (code enforcement). Generally, Code Enforcement in your county should help with this. The links listed in the reference section just below tell first how to clean up sewage and second give an example of a Washington state county code enforcement link/website. This example will help you find it in your area. Sewage is bad. You are right to get it fixed. Good luck.

The CDC doesn't come in unless called in by the your states epidemiologist. And the epidemiologist don't get called in unless you already have an outbreak of something. Then they track down the cause.

I think the local health department is who you want to contact. Make sure you have all your facts in order before you contact them. What disposal regulations were broken and how.
