He's a hypocrite about total support to the troops. It's simple rhetoric.

He says support the troops, when really he's saying"support me extending deployments and throwing our troops in harms way so I can look like a big man and then maybe people will forget I'm illiterate and inarticulate."
He should send his condolences to the family of every fallen soldier. I can understand not being able to do it in person. But he should in some way that is the least impersonal send his regrets. If he even gives a crap.

What's the point of seeing HIM about a dead son/daughter?
It won't bring them back and you can thank the Dems for limiting the funding to supply the equipment that they need to keep them safe.
Don't forget that Klinton screwed up first by cutting the military by nearly 45%. Sounds like a lot of good back up that could have been used to keep the other troops safe.

Get a clue.
President Bush has offered a personal meeting with the immediate family of every servicemember lost in combat.
Something no Democrat president has ever done.
Cindy Sheehan is just a loon who is upset because the president did no say what she wanted to hear when she met him.

What makes me angry is the constant Bush bashing in Y! Answers. Everyone is a critic.
We have 300 million people in the US. What if everyone wanted to see the President?
The President has met with lots of families who have lost loved ones in the war.

It is not the Presidents place to meet with every family that has lost someone. No President has ever done that...and never will. It isn't the right thing to do. Can you imagine Presidents Nixon or Johnson visiting 58,000 families.
Maybe you should visit every family and offer your thanks, for them having a son or daughter that was brave enough to volunteer.....
Have you served your country????
If not be quiet!!!

Blame Congress! They authorized the extended military engagement, not Bush. Maybe the Representatives from the that district should meet families?
At any rate, it is inconceivable that he could and would meet with every request to meet service members families. And I would not expect him too either. So...to answer your question, no.

YOU have no way of knowing how many funerals he went to,privately. He does so out of compassion, not for political points.
He does not use our deceased troops, unlike you,to make a political statement. This is a cheap shot and people like you make me sick.

it's not a presiden'ts duty to go meet the family of every soldier killed in combat. he still has to run a country you know. He DOES come see some families when he can though. For instance: Our neighbors had a nephew die in Afghanistan and Pres. Bush went to see his parents and sister.
