yeah. so...i guess i didnt sand enough before i applied a stain, and now its sticky.
is there any quick fix?
what would happen if i applied clear coat?
any ideas of what to do?

oh, its been drying overnight and its STILL sticky.
im starting to panic. its my bedset and were having people stay at our house tomorrow night..

Sometimes humidity is a factor is why paint/stain doesn't dry.. I would suggest getting some air circulation and some fans going in the room that should help get it to dry and then apply the clear coat.....

Not sanding enough would not make it sticky. Did you let it dry for several hours or overnight. Not sure what kind of stain you used- so there are alot of questions with that.
If you are sure it is dry then you could apply a polyurethane coating for a protective coat.

OOPS.............sounds like you will have to remove the sticky stuff by another sanding.....No No NO don't add clear coat now,,,you have to fix the 1st problem first,,,,,,
