insurance. He said that if I fight this in court he will throw in the speeding charge as well. He said i can just pay it off, they were 180 each. I even went to the police station and asked again, they said that I could just mail in the payment, and thats what I did. My court date was on the 20th and today on the 21st I got a letter saying that I had to have gone to court for the tickets along with my check.
Does anybody know what kind of crap im in? I think its because of the police officers told me a bunch of bs im in this mess.

I think you needed to go to court to provide proof of registration.
Go in and talk to the clerk, see what you need to do to get it straightened out.
As for the officer not writing you for speeding, he was being nice and cutting you a break.

It is always best to appear in court. Payments can only be approved by the Judge, a Police Officer does that have the authority to let you make payments. You need to go to the court clerk in that office, explain to her as you have explained here, she is able to consult with the Judge. I would do this now, and take along proof of the payment, if you mailed in it. If it turns out that payments are approved by the Judge, either go in person and make payments, get a receipt, or mail payment by certified mail to them. Get on this right away, and you will probably be okay, I doubt that they will put you in jail, also get insurance etc... all done and show it to the clerk also, this will help your case. Good Luck.

I don't think registration and insurance violations are pre-payable offenses and I'm not sure why you were told to mail in the payment. In Kentucky, registration and insurance violations are mandatory court appearances. Go and ask the clerk what you need to do to get this matter cleared up. Better be quick about it because an order might have been issued to have your license suspended or a bench warrant issued for you.
