Is the Subjunctive, and Conditional still important to learn when learning German??? When I say important I mean will I ever have to speak it ?? or would I only see it while reading something.

Thanks

Dont bother, even Germans tend to forget how it works... And if it dies out with the natives - why would any teacher expect you to learn? And be laughed at for knowing something we long ago started to ignore?

Conditional yes, bc. germans tend to replace the conjunctive very often with the conditional.Ex.: Instead :
"Er ginge gerne ins Schwimmbad" do they say "Er würde gerne ins Schwimmbad gehen."
About subjunctive : not sure, to my knowledge there is no subjunctive in german.Do you mean the conjunctive?Of course thats important, but the conditional is used more often.
