Ok Hell was created for the Devil and his angels correct? The devil is destined to spend eternity there and he will be tormented for all eternity right? So why does he care if he has company or not? Why is this whole free will thing a battle between God and Satan over who's going to get the most souls?

The angels were made to serve God and when the Devil found out that God would become a man, he freaked because he was so beautiful and brilliant. Best of all creation until he made man and determined that his son would become a man and then the Devil would have to serve a man.Anyway if the Devil can demean a man he will. He laughs when he can get men to do every sort of sordid thing to debase himself--pornography the whole works. He hates us.

I don't believe in any of this hopla anymore, I am a animal that walks the Earth & am not abided to heaven or hell. Hydrogen is the most abudant element in the entire universe & everthing came from Hydrogen.

There is no God nor Satan, now do we believe in the Tooth Fairl

Well Hell is the separation from God and since satan wants to be better than God he's going to try anything to get people away from Him cuz he knows we will still win in the end.

God created mankind, then partially undid that a few times by:
The Great Flood
Scattering people at the Tower of Babel.
Nuking Sodom and Gomorrah

You must wonder why He didn't just uncreate the fallen angels, given the way he dealt with disobedient mankind. *shrug* I guess we'll never know in this world.

satan was kicked out of heaven b/c he was lifted up (prideful) in his appearance & wanted to be God. (that should speak volumes to us about our human prideful/sinful nature.... God's people are to be a humble people - in spirit & flesh.)

there has always been emnity between good & evil ... even now, satan wants to take as many people as possible with him b/c he "knows his time is short".

this conflict between good & evil ... God & satan... will continue until Jesus' 2nd coming. actually, after satan spends 1000 years in the bottomless pit, he is released for a short time... even then he tries to go back to his old antics to "deceive the nations" once again. but God nips that in the bud & throws him into the bottomless pit that burns with fire & brimstone.

what's more important to me is not why, but knowing that it is so & doing everything i can to live with God for eternity - not the evil one.

Satan is self-delusional, so I don't think we can apply a rational reason to his behavior. It might be that he thinks that he can actually displace God as the proper object of worship if he can get enough people to die unrepentant. Or maybe he thinks that misery will love company.

Good question,

Maybe he is like God in that he wants a relationship with us.

God wants a giving, loving relationship,

The Devil wants us to live in misery,

Peace!

We're created in God's image. Bc Satan hates God, He hates us and wants us to suffer. So he tries to deceive us so that we'll reject God and go to hell.

I still don't understand how people still blame satan for evil, if god created EVERYTHING, then he created evil, since evil is something. God is the source of all evil, satan is just a scapegoat.
