I can understand having a problem with fundies, But Jesus himself whether you believe he was the son of god or not was a amazing being with some radical revalutionary ideas, it's not his fault his ideas were ignored and looked over for Paul's dogma.

I agree, I think there is strong enought evidence to support that Jesus was a real person who spoke a lot of sense about peace and love. And I am an atheist. I think what he said has been twisted and used for the wrong reasons though

I don't understand what you mean by Paul's dogma. Pope Paul or the Apostle Paul? What is the dogma you are referring to?

You are right in saying Jesus was an amazing person. He wasn't swayed by popularity or rejection. He did what He knew was right to do. He had an amazing love for people that drew them to Him. The religious establishment of His day hated him, because they were jealous. But whoever wanted Jesus' help received it.
He had an amazing compassion for the outcast and rejected.

And since He rose from the dead and is alive today, we can still experience His amazing love, if we are willing to enter into a relationship with Him.

I don't understand why so many people bash Jesus either. I mean he is just some dead dude. It's all the crazy insane Christians who follow his teachings that I have a problem with.

Mostly atheists admire peace-loving political radical and general troublemaking carpenter Yehoshua, son of Joseph and Miriam. Not many people bash Jesus, except to annoy you.

I don't know where you are coming from, dude. I have not seen anyone bash Jesus - just those who claim to have him as their "best freind."

Paul's dogma has overshadowed the teachings of Christ.

Why bash Zeus and call him fiction? He had some radical teachings that were revolutionary.

Although the above was sarcastic, if you think about it what was zttributed to Zeus was revolutionary.

I'd have an easier time with Jesus if some of the writings had survived.

His ideas were ignored in his own time... everything we know about him is hearsay, and not credible. Jesus, as we know him, is pure mythology.
