I've heard lemon juice lightens hair/skin... would it also lighten dark-ish brown spots (otherwise known as beauty marks, although they don't look too 'beautiful' on me...) on one's face?

lemon juice should not be applied to you face. it will irritate your skin and suck all the oil.

For beauty marks you can only laser them off for real results...until you have the budget....you'll simply have to ignore them.

Yes it does. Use the juice from a freshly squeezed lemon and a lime and mix it with some granulated sugar to form a facial scrub. Wet your face first with warm water then scrub your face for a few minutes, avoiding the eyes, then rinse off. Use it 2 times a day. The marks and any fine hair you have on your face should be lighter and less noticeable in a few days. If you have dry skin use a moisturizer. Its also helps even out your skin tone by removing dead skin cells.

Lemon juice will work but it's not long lasting and the difference will be small. Better to just stay out of the sun.

I've heard it does...-But I don't know of anyone who's tried it. I can't imagine it'd do you any harm- so try it out, & let us know if it works (& by the way, YOUR beauty marks may be a LOT more attactive- than you think. You just may be too critical of your appearance. :) ).
