there is this girl(22) at work that claims to type 98 words per minute with 99% accuracy. I can type 48 and have never had a problem getting a job or getting my work done. I think she's full of it, but is that even possible?

I can "98 wpm" there I told you I could. Look don't worry about other people. Just live ur life and be the best you can be. Who cares what the other girl can do or not. It won't make you look bad even if she can.

We have a computer class at my school and the teacher keeps a record of the fastest types. I know it may be hard to believe but the fastest last year was a girl who typed 106wpm with a accuracy of 100%.

I'm sure it's possible, but I'm a pretty fast typer (76 WPM, jsut tested before I answered to find out what it was) with 94% accuracy...
But that does seem excessive...I mean...I'm a fast typer......and I'm no where near 98 WPM
Get her to do one of those typing tests online with you...and see if she stinks at it!

I type 70wpm. Now imagine someone who works on computers everyday. It's definately possible.

Yes, some people can. One blind women did from dictation that was recorded. Most of us don't since there aren't that many data entry jobs now.
