nicely Laveyan Satanism is an Atheistic faith as Laveyan Satanists have not got self belief in an particularly devil nor do they suspect in God. They do although have self belief interior the self and that they are their own god. So by utilising definition Laveyan Satanists are Atheists as nicely as some are Freethinkers, Humanists, and Agnostics with a gloomy humorousness as Laveyan Satanism could be seen as greater of a parody faith and a insurrection against mainstream religions which contain Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, as nicely as different religions which demands one to stay by utilising way of being intimidated and in concern of punishment.

Depends on which brand of Satanism a person practices. Some are, some aren't. Do you think Satanists are all in lock-step agreement like atheists are supposed to be?

Hell, no.

Because Satanism has many different "factions" if you will, and only a few are Atheistic, such as LaVeyan. However, Spiritual Satanism, for example, is theistic, meaning that they believe in a deity, not necessarily the "devil" as you put it, but rather as a pre-Christian context, thus Satan (which, overall is only a name and therefore has no inherent meaning aside from the implications) is not "evil" nor is he "good" as "good and evil" are merely perceptions of the human mind. According to theistic Satanists, Satan neither helps nor harms those who are without (as in, without Satan), so therefore he is not an aggressor as the Christian bible and media depict him as. To those who are of Him (Him meaning Satan, as there was no "Jehovah" or "Jesus Christ") he helps them spiritually and physically, to better themselves though not necessarily to suppress our animal instincts, aside from those harmful to ourselves or, much more importantly, the collective of the race, planet, galaxy, ect. ect.

Atheistic Satanists, on the other hand, use Satan as a mere figurehead, a symbol of desired traits, Strength, Individuality, Cunningness, etc. and they have no real connection to Satan other than that, but rather more to Buddhism, in that Satanism (Atheistic or Theistic) is nothing more than the spiritual enlightenment of the self. Most, if not all, forms of Satanism have nothing to do with Christianity, but rather these religions all claim to be older than Christianity, which is only about 3000 years old, give or take, from my understanding, correct me if I am wrong. But, they all share in common the desire to become spiritually enlightened and self-empowered, through worship of a deity or worship of the self. They all share in common that none of them force an individual to suppress natural instincts, but rather to express them, though not to the extent of living in the wild under a rock, naked, speaking gibberish....you get my point.

Uh, no. 'Satanism' as you refer to it is the belief in Satan as a supernatural being with God-like powers. Atheists do not believe that anyone/anything has those powers.

The 'Church of Satan' which is described at the end of the link you provided has no direct relationship to the Biblical Satan, and does NOT believe in any supernatural being whatsoever.

Clear?

Because it's not. Satanism is the worship of a higher power. Atheists don't believe in any sort of higher power, be it good or evil, that influences their lives. Obviously you've never read the meaning of the word A-T-H-E-I-S-T.

Um I'm not militant but I've known that ever since I knew what Satanism was.

Atheism is a label, not a group. I'm a non combatant atheist mostly, but I like to keep my street clean. Anyone who pays homage to a supernatural being is to me not an atheist.

Yes, Satanism is atheistic, but it's the subset of atheism. Atheism isn't a form of Satanism, it's the other way around.

I knew it; to whom is this question truly addressed? I do not know ANY atheists who are not aware that LaVeyan Satanism is atheistic. There are, however, Theistic Satanists, who do worship Satan as a deity.

Umm. Satan is a Christian concept. Which would mean that they would have to believe in the opposite in order to be true Satanists. So that wouldn't apply at all. I really thought that was obvious.
