I've been thinking on going camping by myself, is it fun?, never thought of that!!. Has anyone tried that before?, recommendations?. I think if I wait I could go with friends, but in my case I have no idea when that can happen, and if that will happen. Suggestion?, experiences?

If you are seeking solitude and prepare yourself for whatever terrain you are venturing into, yes, it can be fun.
I like being by myself at times and thrive on it at given points. More than likely, in your own area there are places to go to get a feel before heading out for a week long hike in the Grand Canyon though. Get your feel wet locally then venture forth. Try a National Park, www.nps.gov for listings.
I have spent several days out at a time alone. There is a certain spirituality that happens when you let it happen. Get your mind wrapped around being alone, get your body prepared for where you are heading and don't ever forget about the importance of fresh water, and the amount that you NEED on a daily basis.

i know lots of people like camping but i think the safes thing is to wait an d go with friend and it would be loads more of fun!!!!! but that's just me do what ever you want!please pick me for best answer!!!!

If you're adventurous, and like the outdoors that much, and are at peace with yourself, go for it...Just don't do anything crazy, like go where there are grizzlies...
