People retain water because they're dehydrated. Try drinking 2 liters of water a day for a week and you won't have that problem.
Dehydration triggers your body to secrete the hormone aldosterone, which triggers water retention. As you increase your water intake, your body will begin to release stored water reserves and you may lose 2 – 5 pounds of retained water!

I would consult w/your physician-taking too many water pills can deplete sodium and potassium levels and throw off other electrolytes along with affecting your delicate kidneys and also cause dehydration. Let your Dr. be the judge of what you take for your water retention-you may or may not need them-blood pressure can also be affected. Set your appointment-good luck.

You may want to just go to GNC and read the back on the package. That is probably the safest thing to do and they will have something on there telling you instructions and all that!!

What is best is not to get rid of the water you retain with diuretics (water pills), which can be dangerous, but to just simply drink more water.

Remember, water is vital to life -- its not something you want to get rid of.

I wouldn't reccomend taking them at all. They're horrible for your urinary tract and kidneys.
