What lies behind you is over and done with, what lies before you has not happened yet. What lies within you, is the end result of what lies behind you, the motivating force behind what lies before you, and what you will use to deal with both, to change and use both, for good, or for ill.....

I really like it but think that it is only somewhat true. The mistakes that you made in the past are always with you and the decisions that you make in the future reflect how you learned from your mistakes and that makes up who you are. It is true in the sense that what is inside you will always be there if you are true to yourself, such as morals and stuff. Nice quote, who said it?

I don't think it makes very much sense. I think what you're trying to get across is the past and the present aren't as important to what's inside of you, but that message isn't very clear or instantly visible.
I would try to keep the past/present ideas away from the "within" ideas. They don't seem to be related in any manner and it's somewhat confusing trying to correlate the two.

In order to make any sense of ones surroundings, needs or history, one has to know oneself first.
Only when you've faced the void within yourself; found internal peace, can you really start to comprehend the world around you.

To me it means its whats on the inside of you that makes you either go back ,looking at the past or being worried about what the future holds.

Sounds like the whistling of how air escaping the human lunges.
Slightly less moving than, "Be all you can be."
I give it a 2.5. Just behind, "Have a nice day, but better than, "would you like fries with that".

that nothing in the past nor the future will dictate what is truely in you.
If you were abused as a kid and mentally abuse as an adult, is horrible but you, yourself do not and are not a horrible person.

actually, the quote itself is a little off, but i won't pester you on that
but otherwise i love that quote. it's so true. nothing in the past can affect who you truly are, and nothing you don't know about (the future) should be able to
