i believe that you are seeking information about home automation...

x10.com provides many home automation modules, while i am unsure if they provide a climate control module (i am sure they most likely do) many companies are now offering thermostats that you can connect to your home network, or telephone, so that you can remotely control the temprature of your home... so you can turn your a/c or heat on with a phone call, or connecting to your LAN via the internet before you get home, so that the temprature is just right when you walk in the door, and you dont waste money paying the utility company for heating or cooling your home while you are not home...

I am unaware of a phone that does this, I would recommend speaking with a plumbing, or electrical supply company for a thermostat with the features that you want as they will be more in tune with what you need then a large wharehouse store like home depot would be...

Please clarify your question.

If you want the phone to sense the ambient temperature you are asking for a thermometer connected to a phone. What for??
