Why do christians automatically oppose global warming when all it ends up implying is use less and protect?

I'm a Christian who believes in Global Warming. That sounds so silly to say.... "believes" as if its some mythical thing. Global Warming is REAL..... this isnt some bigfoot/alien theory. As for my opinion on why some christians choose to ignore Global Warming is because many christians today have been brainwashed into believing that George W. Bush is sent by God himself to save the Christian world and protect them from the evil Democrats. lol. :) God help us. If George Bush told people that he was the second coming of Christ no doubt they'd grovel at his feet. Not that they already don't.

The politics oppose protecting the environment. Catholic church do not oppose protecting the environment, catholic dogma and people actively protect them. A true catholic are against abortion and other spicy issues against outnumbered odds so i give you an example.

Imagine a big government or otherwise similar organization who wants to have doomsday genetically engineered soldiers for enslave you and anybody else and have no compunction about how to do it.

Surely that government or organization needs tons of human fetuses for the testings and also need to destroy the world with the pollution the chemicals cause. If the fetuses are aborted and abortion is fine for most people then who cares about them? If the global treaty of ecology protection is only not signed by America, who actively searching pollution in US without breaking the laws? Even there are enough fetuses and weak laws about government pollution in US to dump even the whole world into the garbage so nobody ever thinks about something fishy. Truly people here and there believes that America and not Irak or others have big chemical and genetic weapons.

Do you really known what governments and big bucks people really do with aborted fetuses and/or pollution material? Do you known the names of the people in that business? Why is really all that media about genetically experiments like cloning are good and all this? Why almost no news come here to Latinamerica regarding against pollution issues in US? AIDS does not remember you doomsday chemical weapons for killing somebody?

That's a reason besides catholic dogma about the consequences of abortion and non natural birth control. And also it's are fine to explain something else against pollution.

I am sorry to mix ecology with human issues, that is because for catholics ecology are primary human ecology not environmental one. Also i accidentally understand that.

Christians and Republicans go hand and hand. Republicans don't want to believe it and since Christians are typically Republican that is all there is to it. They are not very complex human beings.. They need little reason to believe anything and if you get too complex they just refer back to a 2000 year old book and say "ahaaaaaaaaa" Right there it says..................... But seriously.. They are very simple. You're going over their heads when you begin to explain anything that has do with numbers and degrees.. It's just easier to say "we are in normal trend" rather then actually study the reasoning behind global warming and the cold hard facts that back it. And when it actually does start getting real bad and people are gettng cancer left and right, they will blame it on God's wrath, rather then a fact filled explanation about what causes holes in the ozone layer.

As a Canadian, where global warming is causing drastic change to our habitat and environment, I think global warming is a very bad thing! I hope the human race collectively takes measures to stop global warming!

Attacking the beliefs of others, and defending ones own, shows one lacks conviction, (a real belief), in their own.
Our Creator didn't give us technology to destroy ourselves with it. But to prepare for a Global catastrophe. This is iminent, and the biggest cause of Global Warming. Volcanic eruptions releasing tons of ash and hot gases into the atmosphere. Man alone did not bring this about, nor can we do anything to stop it. And the argument over it is just another excuse of the Devils to get people to hate on each other.

I'm not sure it is just Christians. I would guess followers of Satan would be equally invested in opposing our efforts to protect the environment.

I apologize. This isn't fair and I'm just making a joke. I don't think Christians are any more opposed to protecting the environment then anyone else.

Any "Christian" that would oppose trying to protect God's wonderfull creations, in my opinoin, are going to have an A$$LOAD of explaining to do when they die.
We are protectors of the earth.
It is here to help us, and we are here to help it.
We are stewerds of the earth!
We have all these plants and animals here to eat and use as medicine, but we've GOT to help take care of it or it will DIE!
God placed us in charge. We are the gardeners, the doctors, the bodyguards, and if we fail, God's not going to be too happy..
