The Catholic church has more money than we could ever offer him, unfortunately. He would never give up his popemobile and frock! And, considering he was/is(?) a Nazi, I don't think he would ever give up all the power he has now.

Most wars are political and not religious.

The two most destructive wars the world has ever seen, WWI and WWII, were not religious in nature.

Also the most destructive regime the world has ever seen, the Soviet Union, was atheistic.

Religion is not the problem. People using religion as an excuse for violence are the problem.

So-called Christian terrorists like those who blow up abortion clinics are not really Christians.

In the same way, mainstream Islam declares that so-called Islamic terrorists are not really Muslims.

That would make no difference to the number of wars. War is about money or power or both and getting religion involved is just done for convenience
