I meen I see tons of chruches that say that so how are there more than one first chruches?

There are a lot of churches that are "First" churches. Most are the first church of that kind in that particular town or area.

I agree with tincoatr.

If it is the "First Baptist Church of Springfield", it means it was the first baptist church to be established in Springfield.

You might have a "Second Baptist Church", a "First Congregational Church", etc...

That's just the name of the church. There's no definite reason why it's like that it just is.

btw - I think you mean "first (denomination type) church)

Catholicism was the first Christian tradition. Before that centuries of religions........I would actually like to know the first established religion before Christianity.
