It would be used to test pilots. I am looking for a simple game, software or any program that will test this. I've heard of a test where you are supposed to fly (guide) a cursor or box along a line that changes direction.

The flight simulator games are synonomous with great accuracy and realism and provide probably the clearest picture of flying an aircraft outside of a professional simulator. However, if you use this software I urge you to prurchase flight simulator 2004 unless you have anything but the best gaming pc ever. FS 2004 strikes a great balance between graphics and smoothness of gameplay - smoothness is important to simulate a real-time flying experience whilst graphics does nothing but make you go 'wow' a bit more. However, it is important to buy the right joystick that will give the best feedback. I dont know of an exact model but check amazon for some really good reviews of different joysticks that come as cheap as 30 or 40 pounds.

The great thing about flight simulator is that you can download a multitude of different aircraft that have been created by the programmers or by dedicated users. This gives you limitless variety and for sure there will be an aircraft there that is as close as possible to that you are thinking of using.
