People tend to lend that they dismiss other religions because the know that theirs is true, but didnt the Greeks believe their mythology, they believed it to be the upmost truth and to be fact. The only reason I see for most people to know these things is that others tell them it is fact. But we all know that you cant believ everthing you hear. So why do people continue to believ undoubtedly that they have the "true" and right religion?

You're right, you can't always believe what you hear. Unfortuantely, the West does.

Look at the Media and its view on Islam and Muslims. The Media gets all its viewers (almost everyone) to believe that Islam is a bad, violent, bloody, barbaric, terroristic religion, when in reality, it is the TOTAL opposite. All this fake crap already disqualifies many people from thinking that Islam could be the true and right religion. Was that the goal of the Media and western government?

So, through lies, misleading facts, inaccurate stories, etc., the Media was, and still is successful in massively enforcing its progpoganda upon the people, and these accept what they hear on the news or read in the newspaper as truth, not considering that it could be partial, ignorant, and corrupt. After all, the Media doesn't care about the truth, it only cares about the money.

People, as a general rule, always want to believe that they are right. Especially with something as serious as religion. No one wants to think that they have it all wrong when the consequence is Hell.

The Greeks believed in mythology because that is what they had at the time. If you needed to explain why a plague killed your village, or why your crops were destroyed by flood or draught, or why your mother died in childbirth, what would you do? They didn't understand, so they created something to give them answers.

People all read the Bible differently. What version of the Bible you pick up (think about how something as small as a comma put in the wrong place can affect the meaning of something!), what you are going through in your life at the time, and your own ingrained morals and beliefs all affect how you will interpret things.

All we can do is follow the Bible closely. It has proved true in the past and present so odds are good it tells the future accurately.

The problem is letting false beliefs of man and false gods into true worship. It pollutes it. Nothing sets off the true God more than people with divided loyalties.

I just answered a question about "Sunday christians". Holier than thou on Sunday morning and Satan's apprentices the rest of the week. 1Timothy ch. 3 gives the qualifications for elders and ministerial servants in the true Christian congregation. Does any of yours meet this standard?

Most so-called christian religions teach some type of life after death. Priests pray them out of purgatory for a fee. They are suffering or in bliss. What does the Bible say? In Eccles. 9:5,10 it says the dead neither know or feel anything. How can they then suffer? They can't. That is what is meant by mixing worship of God in with false doctrines. God does not approve.

That is how you know whether your religion is the true one.

Indeed. False Christs and false prophets shall arise TO DECEIVE even the elect if possible. It seems obvious to me it is possible, and possible for many to get deceived. It flat says many shall come TO DECEIVE and shall deceive many.

What part of the first and last many did you not get?

Appearances can be deceiving.
Eg: wolves in sheep's clothing.
Eg: ministers of Satan disguised
Eg: religious & political ministers
So then, judge not by appearance.

Resurrection appearances?
Lots of contradictions there.

Get all the evidence.
It doesn't take sides.
It only makes evident.

Evident: that no man justified by law in sight of God

So then: Grace(only) with you all. Amen.

The only true religion is the religion of Jesus Christ. The Bible was the only thing that could ever bring peace (when I was of the world), and finally I surrendered my heart to Christ. Revelation and the power of God so evident in my own life is overwhelming evidence for me that the Bible is truly inspired by God. I use to be into drugs, fornication, theft, etc., etc., but as soon as I gave my life to Him that can not err, many things changed, many miracles happened that was just not feeling. I know that Christ lives because I have seen the evidence of Him living within me.

Many people believe in a higher power. However, they also limit the 'higher power' by what they percieve currently; instead of taking the limits off the 'higher power' (I call that being(s) God).

Ethnocentrism, the belief that your way of doing things is better than everyone else's. Also, Christians believe that their faith is correct and therefore any that oppose that belief are, by default, wrong.

ANYONE CAN BELIEVE SOMETHING IS TRUE IF THEY REALLY WANT TO... BUT IT DOES NT MAKE IT CORRECT... THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT IS "TRUE" AND "UNTRUE" IS EVIDENCE...

I'M SURE WHAT THE ANCIENT GREEKS BELIEVED THEY BELIEVED AS TRUE BUT WAS THERE ANY EVIDENCE BACKING THERE "TRUTH"? UNLIKELY... IN FACT MOST OF WHAT THEY BELIEVED HAD BEEN PAST DOWN TO THEM THROUGH STORY'S AND FOLKLORE
