How can my Dream Come True???????

Question

Well I want to save the animals left on the earth and save the earth from dieing.

I know what you guys are can say anyway bit I am only 10. I am volunteering time a t a animal center 3 times a week and once every other weekend

Well, that's a good dream to have, there are alot of organizations devoted to helping the ecology, such as the World Wildlife Federation, as an example, and I am sure you can find them on the web, and maybe find one where you can play an active role, according to your talents. Even when you aren't involved in a group like that, you can go to school to study ways to help the ecology,and look for a career where you can do that. There are alot of things you can do right now, such as reduce the amount of electricity you use, re-use items, instead of buying everything new every 6 months because it's the latest thing, and re-cycle anything you possibly can, these are the three R's of ecology, reduce, reuse, and recycle, and if we all did that, we would burden our planet less, and poison it less as well.... In any case, taking care of the planet requires a little effort from all of us, and if we each do our part, there will be a little left for later....

Edit on your additional details: You're only 10? Ok, well, it's nice that you are volunteering at an animal shelter, that's a nice start.... Maybe you could do science projects on ecology for school, or even start an ecology club, and do things like meet once a week to talk about things you can do to improve the ecology, and go out once a month to pick up litter around the school grounds or something, if you can get a teacher to help with such a group. That you are only 10, is a nice thing, really, pay attention in school, get good grades, and you can go to college to be a veterinarian, or to have some sort of a career where you get to find new ways to produce electricity, or something :)

Hey sweetie, I think you are doing great right now. A few people have said mean things here, don't listen to them, they are just trying to squash your dream.

I think it's great that you are volunteering at an animal shelter. The world is full of animals but you can only help one at a time, which is exactly what you are doing! Good for you!

Please don't be too upset about what you hear on the news. They always talk about bad news. They don't talk about all the good things. Here in Vancouver, Canada, my city has planted all kinds of community gardens. We plant hundreds of thousands of trees in Canada every year to replace the trees that get chopped down for lumber. We also have a seal rescue program for the baby seals that get lost and other marine animals, like otters, that get sick or lost.

When you get older, there are even more ways that you can follow your dream of helping animals and helping the earth. There are lots of jobs you can get helping animals.

I think that you are doing great at making your dream come true right now. Keep up the good work and don't listen to the mean people.( I don't think they really want to be mean, they just forget what it is like to be ten.)

Also, please be careful talking to people on the internet. Never give out your email address, your home address, your name, or any information to ANYONE who talks to you on the internet. Even if they say they are a kid too. Sometimes people on the internet lie about who they are. Talk to your parents about that.

You are never going to save the animals. The Earth is not going to die. The only way the Earth would die was if all humans stopped thinking and the motor of the world stopped. Think about yourself, kid. Think about what you can do that you can be proud of, that can also help other people. Forget animals, they are not going to make your life better.

thats really sweet that you want to do that. maybe if we had more people like you, adults and children, the world would be a better place. i love animals, and i think every bit of good that you do will count. maybe you should get a pet if your parents allow, thats also good. to take care of something and let them live happily.
