Well what is he supposed to say when you answer "nothin" I mean, I think he was looking for a little sexy talk or something. Anything! Flirt with the man! Keep his interest. Just giving 1-word answers bores him.

Maybe you should try talking about something more interesting. Do you know men can actually think about "NOTHING"? Most woman don't. So if you ask him questions like "What's up" It is probably nothing and it's not his fault. You are boring him. Get some personality in your convos girl! And if this doesn't work out with him, it still goes for every guy.

He started the conversation, so it cant be that he's not in the mood to IM. Secondly, what's in this guy that you're so worried? I think you gave an honest answer..like he replied the same"nothing", so what's the big deal? If he's the same when you talk to him, better dump him, seems like someone who doesnt know what to talk about.

In the eternal bliss of young love the male of the species occasionally feels the need to reinforce his imaginary domination of the female he has chosen from the tribe. As such he would seek out the weaknesses of character said female has exhibited as the drama of courtship is acted out. Said male then uses said weaknesses to exacerbate the already stretched emotions that play into an open-ended situation like this.

First of all, how old are the two of you? That doesn't sound like a very adult convo. If any guy said, 'sup baby' to me, that would be the last time we exchanged words.

Well, considering he started the conversation, he's obviously not trying to avoid you. I would just say he couldn't think of anything to talk about. Maybe he's nervous talking to you, for some reason. Try asking what he's doing, or something related to his life, to get the conversation flowing again. Believe it or not, a lot of people get really excited and talkative when you ask about their lives. :)

Call him. Maybe he just doesn't like texting. It is impersonal and a pain. If you really care about him, call the guy and actually talk to him! You'll learn a lot more about him and how he feels from how he acts in a REAL conversation. Good luck!

I think if he starts the converstation then nothing is wrong. Maybe he is shy. thats is probably why you guys Text and IM a lot? Just talk to him about it. its the best way. Talking always solves everything. NOT IM & TEXT.

Text? Has he never heard of a phone? I'm not sure how old you are. But guys like to call the girl they like to hear her voice and see how she is doing. This guy doesn't really seem to be taking your relationship seriously. He will only keep disapointing you if you stay with him.

You need to actually say something! Don't just say "oh." say something that will start a conversation. After you say "oh" there is nothing for him to say. You ended the conversation with that.
