There is so little that you can do in 12 days but here you go:
Every day: do three sets of 50 crunches, then 3 sets of 50 leg lifts. This will tone and tighten your abdominal muscles, and make your stomach appear flatter.
Ride a bike (either exercise or a real bike) one hour each morning, just after a light breakfast. Or go jogging if you can jog for an hour straight.
Don't drink anything but water.
Breakfast: 2 egg whites, ten almonds, ten carrot sticks, one apple.
morning snack (11am) ten almonds, 1 banana
lunch - six triscut crackers, ten carrot sticks, 2 slices of cheese, one apple
afternoon snack (3pm) ten carrot sticks, ten almonds, three triscut crackers
afternoon snack 2 (5pm) 1 apple, 2 slices of cheese
Dinner - chicken breast or fish, about 6oz worth. Vegetable of your choice, 1/4 cup cooked brown rice.
Don't eat after dinner.
In twelve days you'll loose about two pounds of body fat, and tone up those abs. Your legs will feel awesome from the bike riding, and being out in the sun (if you ride a real bike) will improve your tan (be sure to wear sunscreen!)
good luck!

Just take this magical pill.....oh... no wait.... that hasnt been invented yet.
u can safely loose about 1kg (2Lbs) a week if u R on a properly supervised & controlled diet & exercise plan. However I'm guessing ur not seeing as u asked this question so in the 12 day time frame u mentioned u can probably safely lose a couple of Lbs by eating sensibly & working out carefully each day. But dont starve urself or overwork urself because u wont keep the weight off & u will probably make urself sick or injure urself & u wont be much fun at ur pool party if ur sick or injured or just plain tired from not eating or exercising too much.
Just go & enjoy urself & stop worrying about what u look like. u will have a much better time if ur fit & healthy & happy.... it doesnt matter how skinny u R if ur miserable.

12 days is not a reasonable amount of time. Women tend to lose weight from the face, breasts, and butt first, then tummy and thighs. The best thing to tone your tummy is to run (Aerobic exercise) and core exercises. Carbs has nothing to do with it. Losing weight is basic calories in and calories out. Eat 5 times a day instead of three, eating slightly smaller portions (keeps your metabolism active). Drink plenty of water (but not too much, you can get water poisoning). Beans and fruit added to your diet will help pull all the extra waste out of your body. Not to be gross, but you will be more regular and the BM's will be larger. If you eat a lot of fiber all at once, you will be running to the bathroom.
*Please do not do a crash diet of water, fruit, and fiber. A friend of mine did that to slim down to fit into her wedding dress. She weakened her immune system to the point where the barrier that protected her brain was pretty much non-existent. She caught a common cold and developed encephalitis in her brain. On her honeymoon she got sick, burned up with a high fever and ended up in the ER almost dead. She spent 4 weeks in the hospital and because of where she developed the infection in her brain, she has no memory of her wedding, people coming to visit her in the hospital, and still suffers violent seizures. She will never regain her memory loss and will always have short term memory issues.
It's not worth it. Go put on some sunscreen and get a tan or buy a fake tanner. Tanned skin tends not to show the imperfections. One more thing: If you are going to diet, make sure to take a vitamin supplement with B vitamins and Iron. If you cut out the red meat, you want to make sure to get it into your diet. Women tend to get anemic easily.

Drink plenty of water. It will flush out any water weight (backwards though that may sound), also don't eat too much salt to keep from retaining water. And do some sit ups for a little bit of toning. But really 12 days is too short to see any real results from a diet or exercise program.

Build a time machine then go back to 6 months ago and tell yourself to eat right and exercise and do it the healthy way.
Otherwise, buy a one piece suit that looks nice on you and go with it because losing weight for a pool party in 12 days is unhealthy and sets you on a trend to live dangerously the rest of your life.

There is really no easy way to do that, and no easy answer. Losing weight is not a 12 day process, but if it was me, here's what I would do, as long as you're willing to work at it:
Exercise:
4 times in the next 12 days (so every three days) I would either walk on the treadmill, or outside (or run if your personal fitness level tolerates it). If you're walking on the treadmill, use an incline, and walk at a brisk pace (about 4-4.5 m.p.h.) and if your walking outside just make sure you're walking fast enough to feel it in your legs. If you're not sweating, it's not fast enough.
You can pick up any fitness or health magazine and get one of those "great abs in 30 days" or something articles with exercises. Do them. As much as you can. They work.
Diet:
Water. Drink water. Only water. NO soda, diet soda, juices, iced tea, etc...those drinks have chemicals, sodium, and calories, which is all stuff you do not want. Coffee is OK- the caffeine will help kickstart your metabolism, but then go with skim milk and splenda.
Avoid carbs, and minimize even whole wheat carbs. No chips, bagels, pasta, bread (unless it's whole wheat.) etc... Keep in mind that your suggested serving of carbohydrates for one day is 6 servings- that equals one whole wheat wrap. Usually, a slice of whole wheat bread is two servings.
Fruits and vegetables are good for you, and they taste good, and they are good for losing weight. Eat them when you are hungry as a good snack (think bannana, apple, carrots, celery etc...) you should have a combination of at least 12 servings of them a day.
Eat often. 5-6 small meals suring the day. Eat until you start to feel full, and then stop.
NO FAST FOOD. DO NOT EAT OUT IN THE NEXT 12 DAYS!!! besides the obvious of fast food being horrible for you, oil and fat is bad for you, has a lot of calories, and will make you gain weight. Dining out is bad because you never really know the content of oil/fat in your food, unless you make it yourself- even if something looks healthy, it may not be.
Alcohol. I love to drink. It's not good for you. It makes you bloated. It's full of carbs, and you could probably drink a day's calorie allotment in alcohol and not even realize. If you have to drink in the next twelve days...beer- michelob ultra light or miller light, or rolling rock light (healthiest beers that still taste ok,) and either bicardi or captain morgan and diet coke (I know, I said soda's not good for you, and it's not, but if you're gonna drink it better than nondiet-coke, and the rum is not horrible for you. Avoid Vodka at all costs.)
And relax. Without knowing you or your job or or situation in life, I will just say that in response to stress, your body produces and secretes a hormone called cortisol. This hormone causes the body to store fat, particularly around the abdomen. You definately do not want this...
so i hope this was helpful...if you have any further questions or comments feel free to e-mail me

In 12 days? Can't be done. Not in any safe and healthy way. You can start eating better, do stomach crunches, and get some exercise every day. That will help. But in 12 days? You're just going to have to be a little poochy. Sorry.

Do phase 1 of the south beach diet very strict. You cannot eat any starches, fruits, or sugars. It may sound hard, but it is very simple because you never feel hungry. Eat 6 small meals a day, and drink lots of water. Do full body toning excercises, not just abs, and do aerobic activity. It can be done!!

grayhare is right, except that situps will not be enough to give you a slim stomach, you have a layer of fat that covers the muscle, and it must be burned off via aerobic exercise, such as running.
