Hey don't generalize, I like my naturally curly hair!!!

I don't get that either, alot of girls I know spend hours straightening their wavy or curly hair... Waste of time! Nothing against straight hair or hair at all but why not just enjoy what you have?!

People sometimes tell me they would kill to have my curly hair and it seems that the straight-haired people want curls and the curly-haired people want straight. I guess people just always want what they don't have, human nature...

I have naturally curly hair and until Saturday of last week my hair has never been straight but i got bored and my sister straightened it and then i got my hair trimmed Tuesday and she also straightened it which was much better than my sister but i found out that my hair is much easier to deal with straight and that i can get up and not have to get in the shower and fix my hair i can just get up and go if i need to. so why it's just the thing to do right now i guess but for me straight hair is nice every once in a while but it takes way more time to straighten my hair than it is to get up and get my hair wet and put in into a bun or something.

I've known people blessed with naturally curly hair that have always wanted pin straight hair, now they can get it. That goes to show we are never happy with what we have. But don't worry, fashion trends come and go, right now we are favoring the 70's and plenty of women resorted to perms in order to achieve the wavy hairstyles popular at the time. As to fashion, well...everything goes.

Personally, I've seen a decline in amounts of straight hair. It's a little 2005/2006, so celebs have cut back on constantly pulling out the flat iron. I totally agree with you--it's much more beautiful to have hair full of volume and bounce, especially with the current style leaning toward curls again, and especially if you already HAVE natural volume. Flat hair was great at first--I loved seeing my hair look like that. But now, I'd rather have the curling iron--the bounce is so much prettier, rather than flat, static straight hair. It's also much more flattering to the face for many people, including me. My hair is wavy, and I'd rather have it normal than flat ironed. But I'd kill for springy curls!

some people just want a change. and they see that more people have their hair straight so they follow the trend. i used to have naturally curly hair but now my hair's straight since i first got a relaxer. it wasn't my choice. my mom wanted me to.

I have no idea.

I have naturally curly hair, and I straighten it almost every day. I guess straight hair is very in style right now.

my hair is naturaly curly. I love it when it will cooperate and I can wear it down and curly. But when it's frizzy and unmanagable I like straightening it because it eliminates frizz and its not all over the place! But if you like your ahir down and curly I suggest a mousse and de-frizzing spray, using a deffuser on your hair dryer helps you dry your ahir without making it frizzy. I hope my tips help
