I never was... There was never any pressure to when I was a kid, so it never happened. You?

Donkey: Perhaps you could unbaptize yourself in tequila.

I was. It left a black stain on my forehead and I have to cover it with makeup.

I was baptized into the mormon church when I was 8 years old. Long before I was capable of comprehending what I was doing.

Later I had several baptisms performed on me in dead peoples names.

And no, I'm not making this up or trolling.

Fortunately I grew up and realized that everything i had been taught was at the very least flawed, if not completely false. For years I went to different churches, and every place I went, all I could see was lies and ignorance.

I spent a lot of time after that actively railing against religion, god, jesus, etc. - I was very angry, and disgusted with the people who believed in this nonsense.

I have mellowed out considerably over the years - I still strongly despise religions like christianity, islam, judaism, and some others for the mythology and nonsense that they propagate, and the way that it gets used to justify atrocities and spread hatred, fear, and ignorance.

People need to wake up.

Baptized as an infant because I was thoughtless and voiceless, and then confirmed at 12 or so because if I questioned a word of it my closed-minded parents would have thrown bibles at me.

I resent the fact that it was forced on me before I could make an informed, conscious decision.

Twice. Once at 8 and again at 23. By 26-27 I had realized the silliness of belief and become atheist.

Well, I'm an agnostic that walked out in the middle of my baptism so does that count? My toes hit the water, I thought the whole thing ridiculous so I turned and walked out. I was 12.

My husband was christened in the Anglican Church but flat out refused to be confirmed as he did not believe any of it. His mother was really unhappy with his decision but she eventually accepted it. He's 49 and hasn't changed his mind about any religion although he's interested in my Buddhist practice (not everything although).

I was baptized as an infant. Something my mother still uses to this day to identify me as a Catholic.
Sheesh she's persistent. Even when I tell her something done to me when I wasn't able to hold my head up or speak a language does not count, she calls me a Catholic.

When I was a child I was baptized against my will. Scared the beelzebub out of me for months. Very traumatic.

I would never abuse a child of my own that way.

Edit: Steven25t, you're a liar and the truth is not in you.

I was baptized when I was too young to know better (though presumably old enough to choose--if all the social and familiar pressure hadn't practically forced me to choose what my parents wanted!).
