I was an atheist before I was a Christian. I bought the whole atheistic ideology.
Then the Lord decided that He'd had enough of my insolence, and revealed Himself to me in a big way.

No. I know a lot of you atheists want to believe that because you don't have faith that those who do are some mentally lazy or deficient in some manner.
I'd like to let you know that nothing could be further from the truth. Sir Issac Newton, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., The Apostle Paul, to name three were all great thinkers to name three off the top of my head.
There are others I'm sure......
Also being a Christian requires discipline and denying of itself.

Man thinks in fact too much...there are forces out there that are content on making man believe the wrong thing. The lust of the flesh and the desire of the eyes the world order says makes a man wise.
God has a plan for all of us. We must chose today who we will serve, man or God. God allows man to go through unpleasant things until he cried I have had enough.Abba Father. He loves us and he never leaves us,but he will chasten us. Just like a loving father corrects his children.
What is self thinking, man was born in sin...God gives everyman a measure of faith. Satan and his demons come to kill steal and destroy. Do you think any man really thinks on his own. Either God be for you are against you. Free Will ya OK? Man is control by spiritual warfare,Satan makes you think you have a free will to choose the right thing at the right time. Without God man can do nothing.God does control every ones destiny be it Good or bad. He knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. Sin has torment! Jesus came that we may have life and life more abundantly. He said choose life that you and your seed may live. Josua 1:4-8. Does one want to prosper and have good success? How bad does one want and need a change! Sick and tired of being tired! Are ya? Jeremiah 29-11.God has plans for all of us.

To be an Atheist you must close your mind to creative thought and accept Science as your belief system. Only trust those things that can be semi proved and be able to mimic any scientific fact that is repeated more than once.
George A. Kerkut, British scientist and credentialed evolutionist, acknowledged that Darwinian thought was built on seven, unproven, non provable assumptions "...not capable of experimental verification." Top billion belongs to the assumption "...that non-living things gave rise to living material, i.e. spontaneous generation occurred." 5

We must be. After all, we've been given such wonderful names by those "free thinkers." "Sheeple" is my current favorite.
These type of questions are silly no matter who they come from; people arrive at different conclusions based on different experiences and interpretations of the facts at hand. While there may be absolute truth, that doesn't guarentee that people who study religion, evolution, materialism, or whatever else someone gripes about, will wind up on the same page. The human element is far too powerful in all of this.

Nope, I thought for myself and came out Christian.
when I decided to give up thinking about the more important things in life to me that was when I was atheist, then I started thinking again and gave up atheism.

Most of us cannot read, much less write or think.
The only reason we are Christians is because our evil parents brainwashed us, and the evil Church is out to get us all.
Personally, I am a Christian because I am so dumb that I cannot even figure out how to tie my own shoes.
Now that I have your attention, it takes much more thinking, meditation, prayer, study, and discernment TO have faith than to just proclaim that there is no God.
Or was that comment just another example of Atheist Love, Compassion and Tolerance?
Peace!

That is the greatest contradiction I have seen...... today.
"If you aren't with us, you aren't thinking for yourself!"
"If you are not an Atheist, you are not thinking for yourself"
No. If I was to be an Atheist it would be against my will. I am a Christian because I chose to. That is thinking and choosing for myself. Everyone is a free-thinker whether you are too arrogant or ignorant to realize it.

Most Chiristians are exposed to a variety of viewpoints during their school years (like Evolution) and have ample opportunity to consider them. Whereas, those not raised with religions may not have heard those theories or have been taught them. My point is, yes, Christians have been forced to think, and consider athiesm and agosticism.

The way that we are spoon fed evolution in our public schools and God is being banned from every vestage of public life, you really have to do some searching and think for yourself to believe in God. You people just believe your education.Don't kid yourself into thinking that you've come up with this stuff all by yourself.
