I have totally done that before, and the best thing you can do is get a hairdresser to fix it. However, in the meantime, you can get what they call a "rinse" - a non-permanent color like brown to help cover it up some. There is no peroixide in it and it helps somewhat until you can get it fixed. Beautiful Browns are a possibility - you can get those at Sally Beauty Supply stores.
Never never color your own hair again. I've done it twice *bonks self in head* but I have finally learned!

Well my mom did the EXACT same thing. And she was LIVID! She quickly went to her hair dresser and she said there was really nothing you can do about it. Red hair color is the only hair color that is REALLY hard to get out. Now what you have to do is, Try washing it as many times as you can, twice a day maybe, once at night, once in the morning, then it will slowly start the fade and then dye it a light brown/blonde and it will get lighter. IT WILL NOT BE BLONDE THOUGH! And you just have to wait to get your normal hair color by letting it grow out. I hope this helped.
Good luck

you need to wash it as much as possible for the next 48 hours. if you can't go to a salon to have it professionally done then you can get a darker brown to cover it. do not try to lighten it. that will make it worse. you really need to go to a hairdresser though. red is not a color that i would recommend anyone do at home by themselves!!! good luck to you

Put a brown color on it, one with ash tones, to take away the red tones, dont use anything that is golden brown.

Go to a hairdresser. If you try and do it yourself, you may just make it worse and make it harder to fix in the end. The plus side for you is that red fades really quickly if you can't afford to go to a hairdresser right away.

wait until it grows back out ,is the best thing you can do. you can re-dye it your normal color but it will fade and the color on the bottom will show. so, just wait - or shave your head, which am guessing you DONT WANT TO DO. so wait.

bypass on your hair dresser and have them prepare a toner on your hair which will help combination the colour which you needed throughout your hair.you won't be in a position to bypass incorrect right here.I had an incident like this ,went to my hair dresser she cautioned the toner and after she utilized it ,the outcomes remarkable !
