Just be honest with him and don't waste anymore of his time or your time. If the shoe was on the other foot, you'd probably want to know, so give him the same courtesy. You can tell him in a nice way, and if his feelings are hurt, there's nothing you can do about it. Better to let him know now, than dragging this out any longer. It's not like you are suddenly going to feel attracted to him down the road. Plus, if you are not wanting to hang out with him this weekend, why prolong this? Besides, you might meet someone else this weekend that you find absolutely dazzling, and if you are hanging out with this guy, you'll miss that chance! Just tell him the truth!

Be honest is the most important thing. Tell him that you had feelings before, but now you don't. And you'd like to remain friends.

He'll respect that, and you'll feel a heck of a lot better a few days after that.

Lots of people are prone to make up excuses or try to stretch out the truth or something, which just makes things messy. Just be straight up, and everything will be ite. ite?

=)

It's best not to lead him on. Time to take care of the situation rip it off like a band-aid it wont hurt as much. it's better then being stuck with someone that you don't like that way. The longer u take the worse it will be

Well you're probably going to hurt his feelings regardless of how you do it but you have to stop leading him on as soon as possible. Sorry but yes you're already leading him on.

Also be prepared for the very likely outcome that you won't be friends afterward and the possibility that he is going to think you played him.

There's no reason to lead him on, just to save his feelings. I would tell him exactly what you wrote up above! We're all human, and we all have similar emotions. Maybe he's feeling the same way!

If it's not there then it is just not there. Tell him that. It is better for you to be up front about how you feel and possibly hurt his feelings that for you to lead him on bc you don't want to hurt his feelings.

Just tell him that you like him as a friend but that is all. Be honest with him and yes he will be hurt but will get over it . good luck and let him down gently.

That's just the way it is if there is no "spark". No easy way to do it, but I would try to spare his feelings if you have it in you to do that. Having been on the receiving end of that conversation, it's tough.
