Spotting can happen as early as two weeks after conception, that is usually when women have implantation bleeding. And not all women have it. But bleeding during pregnancy is not normal no matter how far along you are. If you are spotting for more than 3 days, I would see a doctor.

Spotting a few days before your period is due normal and could be implantation bleeding. After that it's not considered normal. Of the 30% of women who report spotting or bleeding in early pregnany, about half of them miscarry.
