i am considering gettin a small tattoo on the right side of my hip...when it comes to the most painful places to get a tattoo would the hip area be a very plainful place for a tattoo?

i have a pretty large tattoo there. and it didnt really hurt for me, it actually tickled...until he went over the hip bone...that was a little interesting, but not unbearable. your body will be having an adrenaline rush during the procedure and it makes it so you dont feel it as much. it will hurt for the first few minutes. but thats it.

Do you have other tats? If so, it shouldn't be any worse than the spot (s) you've gotten other art. If not, everyones pain threshold differs. For me, fleshier areas are more irritating than on bone areas. If it's a real small piece, it will be over before it even gets numb or raw. As for most painful places, chest, sternum, and rib cage, top 3! Be brave and remember, beauty is pain!! Good luck!

no my hip bone tattoo didnt hurt at all..the one on my lower back was just silly...the pain was so bad on the back that i almost passed out but the hip didnt hurt at all..after the first 60 seconds or so u dont even feel it..by the time he was done doing it i was totally fine. he said finished and i thought he meant he was stopping cuz he thought i was in pain so i was like no u can keep goin and he was like not without more money..im all done so i looked down and my tattoo was complete...go for it u wont regret it (well unless u get someones name there..dont do that!) have fun be safe!!

All tattoos hurt, the amount of pain is dependent on the person and their tolerance. If it's something you really want then don't let the pain deter you, if it's small it won't take long and you will be proud of yourself when you are done.

I have a tattoo on my ankle. When it gets close to the bone it hurts!

the most painful places are where there are the most nerve endings...ask your artist. And NEVER pick one off the wall

i think that depends on the individual. i have both my hips tattoed and although niether were excruciating, left hip hurt more than the right one!

i have my sons name starting at my hip bone and it didn't hurt at all. and I'm a pretty bony person so i thought it was going to hurt but it tickled me.but i also think it depends on the person!!!

i dont think so mine is there.... my firend was with me and her talking was more annoying the the tattoo (she was going on about some drama)

No more painful then any other place. It can be hard to heal, it sticks to your pants, panties, etc. so be careful not to ruin it!!
