Well, if he did, then there's your proof: Jesus was okay with queers.

Besides, the term "fruits" back then did not have a pejorative meaning as it does now.

So: all you church people, you can stop with the homo bashing, for Jesus said "By their fruits ye shall know them" -- that is, if he meant it in a nice way. And I think he did.

(And don't be coming on here calling me an idiot. That ain't nice.)

ONE ANSWERER SAID HE MEANT FIGS. OH THAT'S RICH, "BY THEIR FIGS YE SHALL KNOW THEM." Oh I don't think so.

Sorry, its a bit difficult for you to produce fruit if you are trying to impregnate yourself or another exactly like you.

To produce fruit, you still need male and female, sorry about your desires getting in the way of truth.

Fruits back then did not mean gay or lesbian, it meant deeds.
If you give to the needy, that is a deed. A good deed.
If you kick a person out in the cold, because they are, let's say, gay or lesbian, that is a deed. A bad deed.

A person that does good deeds is a person that bears good fruit and vice-versa for a bad one.

It could also be fruits of labor. A man that works for what belongs to him has good fruit,or deeds, but an idle man is one that chooses to live off others and does not want to help himself. Think of the tale of the ant and the grasshopper.

Speaking as a former Catholic,I will say that it has always been my understanding that he meant persons are to be judged according to their actions, not by what they merely profess. This is traditionally extrapolated to include the idea that all phenomena should be assessed in terms of whatever results flow from it. Your references to "church people" and "homo bashing" sound shrill and ill-defined; I cannot respond to them. Thrashing about with invective does not serve well the purpose of communication. It was never my impression that Catholics are "homo bashers"; we had at my parish both a gay organist and several gay couples who were in full communion.

((sighing))

By "fruits" Jesus was referring to actions, meaning that you will know the truth about what people really are on the inside, by what they DO and ACCOMPLISH and not by what they say, look like, their bank account balance, or where they live.

Jesus Christ & God Almighty do NOT mince words. They called people who choose homosexual lifestyles as Sodomites at best, Abominations at worst.

Read the context. The fruit is figs and grapes, edible fruit.

Mat 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

It is in Re: False Prophets..................................

So I have to ask you . How in the world did you come up with ANYTHING, homosexual, in these verses?

Jesus was OK with people. Not sin!

It's always the 'homos' (as you called them) that come on here trying to justify their lifestyle and when we say anything....we're bashing.
