I need advice for my hair for prom?

I'm really not sure how to do my hair for my prom and it's in 2 days!!! I went to do a trial the other day. I thought I wanted curls but they curled it with a curling iron and it was really ugly..flat on top, urgh. anyway. I'm wondering if I should get them to try curlers. Does anyone have any ideas? I have medium length hair that's pretty wavy/almost curly.

curl it ( or straighten) and put it in a half ponytail. the ponytail could be a bun.
