You sound needy and desperate. Who wants to get close to desperate? Come here, desperate, I want to cuddle with you.
I'd rather have an octopus for a pet.
Find a cause, find a purpose, find a goal. At the point where you have something to offer, the world will come to you with what you need. Join a political party, attend a church, work at the recycling center, visit someone in a hospital or a nursing home. Play volleyball, walk a dog, anybody's dog. Get out of the house and see somebody about something.
Do you have children? Join Parents without Partners.
Stay out of bars. A woman once told my brother, "The only guys I meet in bars are all alcoholics." What an insight.
You will sell the people that you call on. Go someplace where people are trying to improve. Take a night course in something.
Good luck.

You need to get out there. Get involved! Join a club! Take up a hobby! Go jogging or walk your dog! Volunteer at a local charity or hospital! Go to church or to a library! Join a non-profit organization! You want to meet someone and fall in love? You need to go out and meet some people. If you find someone that way, then wonderful! If not, you'll have some fun and meet some people anyway, and you won't need a husband. I guarantee this is the best thing you can do. If you are too depressed to do this, then discuss it with your doctor. Good luck!

The thing, dear Helen, is that love is in you. Miguel Ruiz talks about a magical kitchen. Imagine you have this kitchen, which gives you all kinds of food you want. It gives you tons of food, so you can invite people to eat. All kinds of food, from all places in the world. And then someone comes to you and tells you: 'see what I have here? it's a pizza. So look, I can give you this pizza if you let me control your feelings'. Of course you'll say no. Same thing happens with love. When you understand that love is IN you, you can only share your love, but you don't give all your love to someone, because when they go, that's what happens. You feel empty. If you're full of love, it doesn't matter if people come or go, you still have your love. So cheer up! It's just an illusion. Fill yourself with love, so you have plenty to give to all those around you.

Don't rush yourself or your going to get hurt . Take sometime off, like a vacation or something to keep your mind stress free. The only love that you need right now is to love your-self first! and have support from family and friends. Change the way you live, have a more fun. Maybe then you'll find the right one. Take care & i hope this is helpful..."smile" it's free.

first of all....stop looking, it will find you. I know you're hurting right now, and that's to be expected, but love will come knocking on your door when you least expect it. You need to get over him first and come to terms with being single for awhile. I have no idea how long it will take since it is different for everyone, but I promise there will be a day when he will be just another person to you. Yes, you will probably still love him, but it will be a different type of love. Life will get easier for you, just hang in there. I wish you the best of luck.

Hanging out with friends in different local scenes will give you more opportunities to meet new people.
If you are like some married couples who were only friends with themselves, and lack a large social group of friends, try joining different groups or clubs around town. Anything to get to know new people

Go out to a club/bar with your girlfreinds and loosen up. Your probably moping about it too much and getting yourself even sadder. There are other fish in the sea remember. Keep your head up and smile

Join some groups in your area. Book clubs, cooking clubs, etc. These people usually invite you to other venues (parties, concerts, etc.) and you will eventually meet tons of people through them.

Take it slow. Find some male friends, don't rush anything and let it all happen naturally.
