Does anyone know what sort of professions are allowed to countersign an Irish passport renewal form here in the UK? Hope it's not just a priest, I don't know any! Thanks!

Doctor
Social Worker
Teacher
Priest or Iman
Police Officer
Solicitor
etc etc, they have to have a relevant qualification.
Please Please make sure they have the qualification as I signed for a friend 3 years ago and they spot checked the application, fortunately I'm an immigration solicitor so there was no problem.

It is usually someone with a high standing position in the community that has known you for a length of time

- Priest
- Police Officer
- Teacher
- Somebody in local government
- Doctor

You could send it home to someone who knows you back in Ireland. It does not have to be here.
