What do you think of it...I bought a box of spaghetti to try it since it is supposed to be all natural....but I am leary......what kind of consistancy does it have? It is al dente or mushy?

I am aksing here in religion because it is by some Christian company and claims to make their products from things mentioned in the bible and are 'sprouted'. I thought I might have a better chance finding somebody in here who is familiar with it. Thanks in advance.

We use it, though not for religious reasons because we're not even Christian. There are health problems in our household (diabetes, PCOS) and we found that bread/pasta and all of the usual "white carb" products were the most addictive and the most unhealthy things in the household, but doing without bread or pasta altogether didn't seem reasonable to us, either, as it's just so easy to slap a sandwich together.

It is healthy; and a small portion is MUCH more filling than regular bread or pasta. I won't lie to you, though, it does take getting used to-- for one thing, texture wise, it is tougher. We like to toast the bread, and overcook the pasta a little (but not enough to let it get mushy). There are no sweeteners in the bread like corn syrup and if you're used to regular supermarket breads-- even wheat breads-- you will immediately notice the difference on your pallet.

Once you adapt your pallet to them, you will realize you're much better off, it's way healthier and you won't get too hungry for a long time after a meal.

It doesn't look like whole wheat spaghetti because it's a multi grain.

I love their products. The bread, the tortillas, the pastas.

The pasta can either be al dente or uber squishy. It's just like regular pasta. All in how long you boil it.

Also try Eden brand Kamut pasta. Yum Yum.

Edit: Contrary to what Danny says, you do not need to keep it in the freezer. Microwaving is bad for you. Just keep it in the fridge.

Poor Danny... It is made of flour dear. Multi grain flour. Not refined white which is toxic. You can make flour out of anything. All you do is grind it to powder in a grain mill. Silly thing...

It takes horrible, but I ate it pretty raw while on a diet; nothing but the bread itself, nuked up from the freezer (you need to keep it in the freezer, since there's no preservatives.)

I got through most of the day with two slices of that stuff. If you like health food, try it; they're not lying about how healthy it is.

It's a bit flakey and chewy, since there's no flower and whatnot. Still, if you plan on having anything else with it, it'd be a nice side-dish that supplies, like, 89% of your daily protein needs.

carole, I've had it, but it was not in the freezer section. Probably a different brand? I thought it was a little too coarse, but would make a great hot ham and grilled cheese sandwich. I didn't eat it to feel 'holy'. That would be funny to me. I was curious.

I've had the bread, but not the pasta. The bread is very dense. I find that toasting makes it far more palatable.

I think Danny needlessly tortured himself by keeping it in the freezer and microwaving it. Just keep it in the refrigerator and toast it (which does take a while because it is so dense).

I've tried the bread. It's different then anything I've ever had. VERY grainy. But full of flavor. Not something I can have everyday, but a nice treat.

We get it all the time (King Soopers carries it in this area).

It's a very good bread.
