gave him a woman's instead of the man's. Because it's past the 90day policy they have a bougus policy that I can exchange it for double the credit.....

He's happy with the ring, but I'm mad they messed up and won't bend the rules to fix the issue. Should I just keep the ring he has (it's probably like 2 mm instead of 3 or mm) or should I just find another suitable ring? We get married 7-14-07.

And guys...do you suppose he's REALLY happy or just putting up a front?

I didnt see the problem till I had them both out for inspection. I just put his way with mine until it was time for them to go to the store for inspection.

Not to mention when I asked them at the inspection about the mm size they said "no it's the guys ring" when if you look online it's definatly not. The guys ring is thicker.

I would get it fixed it's supposed to be worn for life as a symbol of your married status, I wouldn't want to wear a womans wedding band. Maybe her underwear but not her band LOL

I understand your anger and I would be pissed to and I think they should replace it at their cost. If you spoke to managment in person and left them the impression they will either fix it or they will regret the next move you make, they will probably do it. However, if your fiance says he's fine with it, he probably is. Not all men like thicker rings. My fiance and I actually picked out a woman's band because it wasnt as thin as most and because we loved the design better than any mens rings we saw.

If you're marring him you should know him well enough to know if he's truly happy with it. I think Kay is doing the honorable thing . They have nice jewelry. Why don't you make a date and go to the store and look around and see if he wants to change it. NO HARM NO FOUL.

PS Why did it take you 90 days to find out you had the wrong ring? Best of Luck . I wish you all the happiness.

My husband and I had a similar situation happen to us. We bought a tungsten band at our local jewelers and since they did not have my husband's size in a tungsten ring he had to get it ordered. Well, when we got it 3 weeks before our wedding (we were supposed to get it 2 months before the wedding but it got back-ordered) the ring was way to big for him even though it was the size that fit him when they figured out his ring size!! Well, needless to say we couldn't get the problem fixed in time for the wedding so we had to use that ring for the wedding. We thought that we got one free ring resizing a year for a tungsten band through the company that made it, but of course not. Since we had to order the ring in the first place that was our free ring resizing which we thought was bs. So we had to send out his ring in the mail to the company that made it with a $25 money order to get a different size. We got the ring and it fits great, but we still think its dumb that we had to spend another $25 on his ring.. lame.

If he says he's fine with it, then let it go. My husband was pickier about his ring than I was because he wasn't used to wearing jewelry at all. He must've tried on about 75 different rings in three or four different shops. 1mm isn't a big deal, but if you still want some store credit or something, it can't hurt to complain to their management.

He's happy with the ring, so I'd drop the issue.

I would go to the manager of the store and if the manager doesn't want to correct the situation I'd go to corporate headquarters. Good luck and God Bless your marriage.

If a man says it's fine, then it truthfully really is okay. Don't read too deeply into this. If he was pissed enough, he would definitely be saying something.
