I received a call from a man claiming to be calling from social security to say i was entitled to $300 for the next six months to be deposited in my bank account. THey said it was because I paid taxes and I had no arrest record. Is this a legitimate call or is this some kind of scam? Has anyone ever heard of this?

It's definitely a scam. If you gave them your bank info, call your bank immediately and tell them what happened so they can flag your account so it can't be emptied out by these scammers, if it's not too late already.

It's a TOTAL scam! Do NOT call them back or give them ANY personal information, especially your banking details!
