Any girl over the age of 18 can go out with any older men.
If you are afraid of telling someone you are a marine than don't tell them until the end of the date. Now a days women are a lot more empowered, not just the ones in the military. And yes most men are intimidated by a powerful women, but that is what also makes us attracting to them. Don't sweat it.

You know, there's a "check spelling" feature -- might not be a bad idea to use it, sometimes. *sigh*

Depends on the guy, and depends on the girl. You can have a mature 20 year old girl who has the same maturity as an immature 35 year old. As long as the relationship is on an equal footing and you want the same things -- i.e., if the older one doesn't try pulling the "I'm older than you and know better than you" b.s., or tries to say that he's had enough kids and doesn't want any with you -- then go for it. Try imagining your relationship 20 years from now -- if he's looking at early retirement and you're just hitting your stride, are you going to be ok with that?

I'm a guy, but when I reached 40 I was told I shouldn't date anyone less than half my age, plus 5 years. I'm 54 now, so I shouldn't date anyone younger than 32 years old. Reverse it in your case. Take your age. Subtract 5 years and multiply by 2. That should give you a rough idea of what is too old.

I love women in uniform. And I'm a civilian.

One condition. She can't look too much like a guy. If she is too butch/shaved head/covered in tats/acts too much like a guy...

then all bets are off. Those types of girls probably should be dating other girls.

By the way, pretty much all men want to date younger women. It's usually women and attached fathers that get the most angered about age differences.

Semper Fi, soldier.

Marines are tough and aggressive so people will be hesitant. Very different culture. However, finding the right guy is important--is he respectful, can he contribute a decent income, will he be a good Dad, does he really adore you, is he a friend as well as a lover? All this is important--avoid alcohol and drug abusers by all means.
Age is important but not critical--10 years either side is usually OK.
If he's nice, has a lot of money--go for him fast!
Good luck and most of all thank you for your service to our country.

For men- the standard That is socially acceptable is half your age plus 7 years. So for a 40 year old- this would be 40/2=20+7= 27. However- why worry about numbers- Just date whomever you are attracted to.

Marines are cool either way. I think too old is only when your under 18 and he is over that age. Other than that there is no too young too old. My man is 13 years older than I am.

Older? How much older? At your age, assuming 22 to 24, 30 would be pushing it. You need to look within a 4 to 5 year timeframe. Other than that, you'll just get mad because it'll always seem like he's talking down to you.
