On this site and by my sister in law. Most everyone else is ok about it, but not great. I still get the super religious emails from people trying to get me 'back to christianity' and the emails making fun of atheists. But it's fun to email back on those with valid points they can't refute. Even when it's mom...

Yes. My wife gets very defensive and angry when she sees me reading anything that is pro-atheist, such as Dawkins the God Delusion.
Why do people get so defensive and threatened when they hear you don’t believe in God? It is as if their entire worldview comes into question. Religion seems to be based on insecurity. Nobody is allowed to question or the entire house of cards begins to crumble. Why is everything else in life prone to discussion, introspection & analysis but religion is off limits?
I can only conclude that at the core of every believer and every religion is INSECURITY. They must know deep down that their beliefs are a fairytale and rather than admit their own gullibility, they choose instead to lash out at the messenger.
Among the more irritating consequences of our flagrantly religious society is the special dispensation that mainstream religions receive. We all may talk about religion as a powerful social force, but unlike other similarly powerful institutions, religion is not to be questioned, criticized or mocked.
— Natalie Angier
Is it not better to place a question mark upon a problem while seeking an answer than to put the label "God" there and consider the matter closed?
— Joseph Lewis, (1889-1968)
God is a sound people make when they're too tired to think anymore.
— Edward Abbey
Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.
— Thomas Jefferson
That which has been believed by everyone, always and everywhere, has every chance of being false.
— Paul Valéry, (1871-1945)
It has never mattered to me that thirty million people might think I'm wrong. The number of people who thought Hitler was right did not make him right... Why do you necessarily have to be wrong just because a few million people think you are?
— Frank Zappa
If 50 million people believe a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing.
— Anatole France
One of the proofs of the immortality of the soul is that myriads have believed in it. They have also believed the world was flat.
— Mark Twain,
The absurdity of a religious practice may be clearly demonstrated without lessening the numbers of people who indulge in it.
— Anatole France
The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence that it is not utterly absurd; indeed, in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.
— Bertrand Russell
In questions of science the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual.
— Galileo Galilei
Et si omnes ego non -- Even if all, not me.

I've had a few negative votes here...
Oh, and once a teenager came knocking on the door selling her particular brand of religion. We talked for a few minutes and it became increasingly obvious that she was stunned at my stupidity. She really could not see why I didn't accept what she believed. I could see her annoyance and I think she was glad to get away from me.
Oh well.

Don't judge others by the atheist creed.
Christians are taught to love everyone, even their enemies. They may admonish you for the foolish and irrational beliefs of atheism, but they do this with good intentions because they hope that eventually you will open your eyes, heart and mind to the truth. And this will change your life for the better, in a most amazing way. And you will inherit the eternal life that is your birthright as a child of God.
Be assured Christians don't hate you, they love you.

was called a hypocrite for sending my daughter to a catholic school even thought i despise all religion but as i said to the titt who was talking to me i am not going to force my beliefs down my daughters throat, she can make up her own mind when she is old enough and besides its a lot better school than the fight clubs near where i live....

As so many of them are total hypocrites and know it (rarely go to church, dont follow the 10 comms), they tend to keep their heads down on religious discussions! So NO, i dont get much stick from them!
